Music to My Heart

Music speaks and I am always ready to listen

Meet me at the Symphony...or the opera...or the ballet

There is something about hearing a symphony live in concert that speaks to my soul. It lights a fire inside of me and I am taken away to another world, in many cases, a dream world. As a violinist myself (still very much a novice), I am amazed and soothed with every movement of the bow. The subtle nuances of the chords and the way that the notes fit together speak in a language that everyone can understand. Emotion, beauty and inspiration. These art forms speak this language in a way that nothing else can. If you have never been to one in person, it is worth your time. Your soul will thank you.

Haruki Murakami: “Music brings a warm glow to my vision, thawing mind and muscle from their endless wintering.”

Billy Joel: “I think music in itself is healing. It is an explosive expression of humanity. It`s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we`re from, everyone loves music.”

William Shakespeare: “The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, And his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted. Mark the music.”

Arthur Conan Doyle: “There is nothing more to be said or to be done tonight, so hand me over my violin and let us try to forget for half an hour the miserable weather and the still more miserable ways of our fellow men.”

Meet Violetta. She is beautiful and elegant. She can make you dance joyously or cry deeply. She whispers truths and secrets into your ears that you didn't even know were there.
